Neymar reacted to the AI video begging for one last World Cup — and the internet lost it
A viral video from the 'Nerd Soul AI' account shows AI versions of Neymar pleading for one final shot at the 2030 World Cup. The Brazilian star reacted with emotion on Instagram.

Three emotional emojis. That was all Neymar needed to stop the internet in its tracks this Sunday.
The account "Nerd Soul AI" posted an artificial-intelligence creation in which versions of the star from different stages of his life come face to face. At the heart of the scene, an older Neymar approaches a child wearing a Santos training vest — and makes a plea that left viewers in tears.
"I gave everything I had. I spent every last ounce of my strength, but I couldn't do it," the adult version says in the video. "Do you want me to try one more time?"
The emotional hook is the 2030 World Cup. At the end, a fourth version of the player arrives by car holding a trophy engraved with "2030".
Neymar himself commented on the Instagram post with emojis signalling emotion — and that was enough to make the video explode. In less than 12 hours, according to ge, the post had already racked up 22.5 million views, 2.5 million likes, and more than 1 million shares.
The context stings a little. At 34, Neymar has played in four World Cups. In this edition he returned from injury but featured in just two matches — including Brazil's elimination against Norway in the round of sixteen. Before the tournament, he had signalled that the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States would be his last.
At 38 years old in 2030, the window exists — but it is narrow. And the video knows it. That is precisely the pain that makes it so powerful.
The question hanging in the air — one Neymar himself never answered in words — is the simplest and the heaviest of all: so, will he try?
